Built for the trails
that raised us.
Sometimes the only place people can find peace is in nature, so we must protect it.
Zac Bezenek, FounderThree generations,
one backpack
Growing up, some of my clearest memories are from the backcountry. My dad, my grandpa, and me. Our packs loaded with what felt like a million pounds, no signal, just the sound of our boots on dirt and the smell of pine trees.
Those trips weren't vacations. They were an education. I learned patience on steep switchbacks. I learned to be small in a good way. I learned that complaining doesn't get you there any faster — and to look up at a ridge and understand that you're part of something much older and larger than yourself.
Then I started noticing the change. The forests that so many people grew up loving were quietly disappearing.
I couldn't go back and change the actions of the people causing the deforestation. But I could build something that fights back. That's what Live Nature is.

We don't just
sell clothing.
We buy time.
Every outdoor apparel brand will tell you they love nature. They'll put a mountain on the hang tag. They'll shoot their lookbook in Yosemite. Some of them mean it.
We built the whole company backward from a question: what if every dollar spent on gear was a dollar that actively healed the land you were gearing up to explore?
This isn't about guilt or greenwashing. It's about a simple bet: that the people who love the outdoors enough to gear up for it, love it enough to fund its survival. We're just making that easy.
One purchase. Ten trees in the ground. Plastic pulled from the water. An afternoon on the trail that costs the earth nothing — and gives it something back.
The three
commitments
These aren't just aspirations. Not just marketing copy. The three things we are accountable to on every order, every season, every year.
Plant ten trees, every time
This is intentionally not a vague pledge. Ten trees planted in deforested regions for every item that ships. Tracked, verified, and reported. This is the floor, not the ceiling. We're working to raise it every year.
Carbon-negative, not just neutral
Carbon neutral means breaking even with your footprint. That's not good enough when the atmosphere is already strained. We remove more carbon than our entire operation creates. The trees planted over their lifetime remove over 3,000 times the carbon output of shipping a single order.
Drastic plastic removal from the ocean
For every piece of plastic our supply chain creates, we pull 172x that amount from waterways and coastlines. Our partners operate verified ocean-bound plastic removal programs.
I started this
at 16.
Not because I had the whole thing figured out. Because I knew enough to know that waiting until I had it figured out was just a way of never starting.
My mentor in high school used to say that the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is now. That line is corny and true — and it's why we plant ten of them every time someone buys a product.
Live Nature exists because the forests that raised me are shrinking, and I couldn't figure out a good reason to do nothing about it. So I built a clothing brand. Weird? Maybe. But it moves product and it moves the needle. Those two things don't have to be at odds.
If you've ever stood in old-growth trees and felt like you belonged there — this brand is for you. If you want the gear to get back to those places, and the peace of mind that buying it didn't cost the mountain anything — this is for you.
No exceptions.
Wear it.
Plant it.
Keep going.
The trails are still there. The forests can come back. Every purchase is ten more trees in the ground, a little more plastic pulled from the water, and proof that how you spend your money is a vote for the world you want to live in.
